Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant

Very classic dim sum place! For best experience I recommend knowing Cantonese, but standard mandarin will do. They come around with the carts, and you can point to whatever ones you want. The aunties also make recommendations and I always trust them!! The vibe is great and the energy is wonderful--not too calm and not too chaotic! My favs were the tripe, chicken feet, shrimp rice roll, and xiu mai were all fantastic! The zong zi was tasty as well. The aunties were so sweet to us and happy to chat a bit, and really paid attention to the dishes we wanted. Lovely chatting with them!

Quintessential dim sum that has never disappointed. My Cantonese family loves this spot and always raves at how good the food and prices both are! Win win! It's your stereotypical banquet hall style which is exactly what we love. There's nothing like an auntie getting to the point by putting a dish in front of your face saying "do you want????" Let's get to business and make our tummies happy.

What I like about Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum is that they still keep to the traditional push carts here. I enjoy eating dim sum when there are still push carts around since it's traditional. We came during the week so it wasn't as crowded though there were still a good amount of people here. We were seated right away. This restaurant does have an odd floor plan and I always thought it did. There's a main area and then a smaller area as you walk in. However decoration wise, the restaurant is very traditional with red and gold layout. Dim sum is one of the better ones I've had. I thought their dim sum tastes pretty good from their siu mai to rice noodles to their buns. Can't really complain about their food here. Great service and great atmosphere definitely would make me want to come again since I really enjoy the push carts.

You really have to try dim sum at Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant at least once. Maybe once a week? *joke* Here, they still have staff who push carts with a variety of foodstuff on it. As the carts pass by your table, you can pick and choose. Sometimes you know what you want; sometimes you select something spontaneously. Atlantic Seafood is a large restaurant. Because there are so many tables to serve, the product on the carts turns over quickly; in turn the products are fresh. Because there is an audience for it, Atlantic Seafood offers dim sum dishes you don't see in smaller restaurants. Having dim sum here is like a food vacation. It's a dimension of Cantonese food culture that seems to be slowly disappearing, here and abroad. BTW .. Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant is located within an interesting development. The complex has commercial and retail on the ground level. There are apartments above. There is ample, free underground parking.

Came on a Christmas eve mid morning and there were a few groups inside. So seating and waiting was never an issue. For those of you who need a quick location reference, it's upstairs inside the condominium complex...adjacent to the LA Fitness. Everything is run efficiently and smoothly, which is pretty common for Chinese spots here in the SGV. Also, it's one of the few spots left that has those traditional push carts. I love those carts, so don't get rid of them! Highlights for me were the siu mai - big and meaty, and the black bean spare ribs. I wasn't a big fan of the beef ball, which had this weird, spongy texture. Also, the juicy dumpling wasn't as juicy as I was hoping it would be, unfortunately. Came up a little dry. The other items we ordered - har gow and egg custard - were decent enough. Would I come back? Yes. There's enough on the menu to explore, the pricing is good, and the service is just as good.
